Problem

The computer/harddisk with the database has crashed and the program must be reinstalled (on an other computer/harddisk). The old data must be restored, but no backup file was made using the Backup Wizard.

Cause

You did not make monthly backups on a removable media, or cloud drive.

Solution

To manually create a valid backup file that can be read by the Restore Wizard you must do the following:

1) Create a new ZIP file
2) Browse using Windows Explorer to the folder where the database was installed.
3) Copy the following files to the ZIP file

For Payroll 4 Curacao:
payroll4cur_info.mdb
and
payroll4cur_xxxxxxxxxx.mdb

For Payroll 4 St. Maarten:
payroll4sxm_info.mdb
and
payroll4sxm_xxxxxxxxxx.mdb

For the Payroll 4 BES:
payroll4bes_info.mdb
and
payroll4bes_xxxxxxxxxx.mdb

For Payroll 4 Aruba:
payroll4info.mdb
and
payroll4xxxxxxxxxx.mdb

The "xxxxxxxxxx" stands for random number. There can be several of these files (1 for each company).

For any Income Tax Return or Profit Tax Return:
The file ending with -data.mdb (For example: aib2012sxm-data.mdb)

The backup file is now ready and can be read by the Restore Wizard.
