Problem

When you attempt to enter a date-of-birth, or any other date, you get the following error message:

QuoteThe value you entered isn't valid for this field.

For example, you may have entered text into a numeric field or a number that is larger then the field size permits.

or

QuoteYou have entered an invalid date.

You will also get this error it you select the date using the calendar control.

Cause

This is a caused by a BUG in the regional settings in your copy of Microsoft Windows.

Solution

Change the Regional Settings in Windows:

1) Click the Start button

2) Type "Region" and select "Region Settings" from the list

3) Change the "Regional Format" from "English (Sint Maarten)" to for example "English (Caribbean)"
