3) You have a special situation and don't know exactly how you can implement this with the software.
Solution
The support department provides free support for all ITMAN programs. Our time is just as valuable as yours. We have no access to your database and we can't read your mind. Ask your question clearly, completely and politely.

- See if the manual has information on the subject.
- See if this forum has information on the subject.
- Read the instructions in the program accurately.
- Read the instructions in the Wizards and informative popup windows accurately.
- Tell us exactly what you don't understand. Why were you expecting something else. Indicate the program component. What instruction is not clear. Specify the name of the report. Etc..
You get an error message?
- See if this forum has information about the error message.
- Tell us exactly what steps you need to do to get the error message. For example: I start the program. I click on "Employees & Payroll". I select the month "December". Etc..
- Tell us exactly what error message you get.
- If desired, make a screen shot and send it to us.
- Tell us what may have caused the error. For example: Power failure. Changes made to the computer or server. Etc..
Do you have a special situation and don't know exactly how you can solve it with the software?
- See if this forum has information on the subject.
- Don't tell us HOW you want to achieve something, but WHAT you want to achieve.
- Give concrete examples with real amounts.

Je wil via email een vraag stellen aan de support-afdeling.
Oorzaak
1) Je begrijpt iets niet.
2) Je krijgt een foutmelding.
3) Je hebt een bijzondere situatie en weet niet precies hoe je dat kan oplossen met de software.
Oplossing
De support-afdeling geeft gratis support voor alle door ITMAN gemaakte programma's. Onze tijd is net zoveel waard als dat van jou. Wij hebben geen inzage in je database en we kunnen je gedachten niet lezen. Stel je vraag duidelijk, volledig en beleefd.

Krijg je een foutmelding?
- Kijk of dit forum informatie heeft over deze foutmelding.
- Vertel precies welke stappen je moet doen om de foutmelding te krijgen. Bijvoorbeeld: Ik start het programma. Ik klikt op "Werknemers & Loonadministratie". Ik selecteer de maand "December". Enz.
- Vertel precies welke foutmelding je krijgt.
- Maak eventueel een screenshot en stuur die mee.
- Vertel waardoor de fout kan zijn ontstaan. Bijvoorbeeld: Stroomstoring geweest, veranderingen die zijn aangebracht aan de computer of server. Enz.
Heb je een bijzondere situatie en weet niet precies hoe je dat kan oplossen met de software?
- Kijk of dit forum informatie heeft over het onderwerp.
- Vertel niet HOE je iets wil bereiken, maar WAT je wil bereiken.

Installation / Avast Sandbox

The setup program indicated wrongly that Microsoft Access is not installed.
Cause
The setup program is opened with Avast Antivirus in a so called "Sandbox".
Solution
When Avast indicates that the program may be unsafe, then select "Open normaly".
The Sandbox can be disabled as follows:
1) Open the Avast interface by dubble clicking on the icon in the Windows toolbar
2) Click at "ADDITIONAL PROTECTION" on "AutoSandbox"
3) Click on "Settings"
4) Remove the check mark at "Enable AutoSandbox"

Installatie / Verkeerde bedrijfsgegevens na ...

Na het uitvoeren van een update zie je gegevens van een ander bedrijf.
Oorzaak 1
Je in het verleden meerdere bedrijven aangemaakt. Na de update is een oud bedrijf geselecteerd waar geen salarissen in zijn verwerkt.
Oplossing
Selecteer rechts-bovenaan het juiste bedrijf uit het lijstje.
Na het uitvoeren van een update zie je gegevens van een ander bedrijf.
Oorzaak 1
Je in het verleden meerdere bedrijven aangemaakt. Na de update is een oud bedrijf geselecteerd waar geen salarissen in zijn verwerkt.
Oplossing
Selecteer rechts-bovenaan het juiste bedrijf uit het lijstje.

The employees hours are logged using an electronic time clock system. You want to be able to import the data from the time clock into Payroll4.
Solution
Payroll4 is installed with a TimeClock Wizard ("Reports" > "Report" > "Overviews" > "Time Clock") which is able to import and process export files of time clock systems. This file must use the following specifications:
1) The file format is CSV.
2) The file contains for each employee and for each different wage code a separate row.
3) The file must contain at least the following columns:
- The employee number (Numeric)
- The wage code (Character, max 4)
- The number of hours, or an amount (Numeric)
Note:
1) The file may contain additional columns.
2) Columns may be placed in any order.
3) The columns may contain a heading.
4) The employee number should match an employee number in Payroll4*.
5) The wage code should match a wage code in Payroll4.
* The employee number can be entered in Payroll4 on the "Employee" tab at "Nr."

Wage Tax / Reserving a bonus

At the end of the year, employees receive a bonus or 13th month. Instead of paying all premiums and taxes (according to the table special payments) in December, you want the tax and premiums spread out over 12 months.
You will get to see 1/12 of the bonus each month on the salary slip without getting the payment, but you do pay tax on it. In the middle of December, the nett bonus paid.
Solution
You have to reserve the bonus. You do this by adding monthly 1/12 of the bonus to the salary, calculate tax and premiums and then deduct the nett bonus amount from the salary.
STEP 1
You will need to create 2 new wage codes ("Company info & options" > "Wage codes" > "Add new wage code":
For example:
Code Name: RB1
Description: Bonus this month
Code type: Normal wage
Calculation: 1/12 of the bonus. This can be a percentage of the salary, a fixed amount, or amount to be determined later.
Books: Credit
and
Code Name: RB2
Description: Bonus balance
Type Code: Non disclosed wage component (deduction)
Calculation: MINUS (-) 1/12 of the bonus.
Books: Debit
Note: Choose can choose a wage code and description of your liking.

Then book your two pay codes in the "Fixed wage components" on the "Wage" tab to make automatic monthly reservations.
STEP 3
In December you book at "Mutations" (possibly in an "Extra" run) wage Code RB2 with the total amount of the accrued bonus as credit. Click "Cancel" if you get the warning that the amount to be negative.

Het programma is niet correct geïnstalleerd en tijdens het opstarten van het programma krijg je een foutmelding:

1) Bestanden zijn handmatig verplaatst.
2) Er is een nieuwe versie van Microsoft Access geïnstalleerd.
3) Harddisk is vervangen en het programma is vanaf een backup hersteld.
Het programma is een database-applicatie die gebruik maakt van Microsoft Access op je computer. Tijdens het installeren van het programma met behulp van het setup-programma worden alle links aangemaakt, enkele variabelen in het systeem register ("Registry") geplaatst en software ge?nstalleerd voor het kunnen maken van backups en updates. Wanneer achteraf handmatig aanpassingen worden gemaakt aan de installatie zal dat tot fouten leiden.
Oplossing
1) Blader vanaf het werkstation met Windows Explorer ("My Computer") naar de folder waarin de database zich bevindt.
2) Dubbel-klik en Run het programma "workstation-setup.exe".
Als je de folder met de database niet kan vinden, download en run dan de laatste update via deze link.
